Ginza is a triple first-place winner this year, also taking home the awards for Best Japanese Restaurant and Best Service in a Restaurant. The chefs at Ginza fuse French and Asian traditions, says general manager Alex DePratti. "We have hibachi, a great sushi bar, a private tatami room, and a huge ever-changing seven-page menu," says DePratti. "There's a lot that makes Ginza a destination restaurant." And big things are in store for the Bloomfield eatery, with plans for another location in downtown Hartford to open sometime this summer. It's a development that DePratti and executive chef and owner John Chen expect will fill a huge void in the downtown dining landscape. "Keep your eyes downtown," says DePratti. "It's going to be an Asian bistro ... It's going to be very high-class."
